Maya Pinz is a fine artist, muralist, illustrator, and passionate creative based in Columbus, Ohio. Through her dynamic paintings, Maya combines realistic expressive portraiture, symbolism, and bold forms to confront personal and at times challenging themes. Beyond her experience with oil painting, she enjoys printmaking and digital illustration which often influences her work with vibrant colors, organic shapes, and intricate lines. The goal of each individual piece is to spark conversation, self reflection, and a individualized emotional response. By harnessing her authenticity, Maya creates work that sparks a genuine connection between the artist and the viewer.

Maya graduated with her BFA in Illustration and a Minor in Business from Columbus College of Art & Design in December of 2023 and currently works at Blockfort Gallery as a Gallery Assistant. Most recently, Maya had her first solo exhibitions at WitchLab (2023) and at Blockfort Gallery in Columbus, OH (2022), and has been featured in multiple group exhibitions including: New Beginnings - a Daylight Artist Collective Show (2023), Franklinton in Bloom at 400 West Rich (2023), Nostalgia - a Blockfort Show (2022), and The Tiny Show at Wild Goose Creative.
